You’re going to put hundreds of miles on the pavement training, so you’ll want shoes that fit well and align with your natural arch. Wearing bad or ill-fitting running shoes is the easiest way to get injured. It might be a good idea to get a consultation at a running store to see which shoe best fits your stride and foot.
Get an App or Start a Training Program: There are so many apps and programs out there that will help you get into running shape. Couch to 5K is one of the most popular ones out there, so that might be a good place to start. And bring a friend to help you. It’ll make training more fun and also create accountability.
